EXECUTIVE PANEL : Digital Mobility : Any Content?
The main topic of the event this year is Digital Mobility :
Any Time, Any Where, Any Device, Any Content.
This executive panel session on Usages & applications focuses on trends, opportunities, and innovations around mobility, at and beyond the smartphone era.
The panel will gather executive representatives from various companies playing important roles in bringing innovative solutions and offering to the consumer, in a context of the overall ecosystem.
In particular we will explore “rules breaking” innovations in the segments of M2M, medical care, games, user interfaces, and others.

Start-up Panel
SAME 2011 will feature carefully selected high-tech start-ups developing new technologies and applications for the Microelectronics industry.
The panel will inform the audience about innovative products currently being developed and commercialised by these companies coming from all over Europe. SAME, in the context of the European project “ACHIEVE More” (a project focusing on Start-up coaching), will also provide support in terms of business development for each start-up.
During the last edition, almost 40 individual business meetings were organized for the 6 selected start-ups, confirming the high level of interest from potential customers or partners.
This year SAME will attribute again a prize (“The Best Start-up Award) to the start-up that will perform the best presentation during the panel.
In 2010 this prize was given to ESPHI (following ORIDAO in 2009).
The jury will be composed of a mix of industrials, VCs and journalists.

Special Event : Acroban Humanoid Robot
A lightweight humanoid robot, called Acroban, will be presented.
The first humanoid robot which is able to:
- demonstrate playful, compliant and intuitive physical interaction with children;
- move and walk dynamically while keeping its equilibrium even if unpredicted physical interactions are initiated by humans.

University Booth
As part of the SAME’2011 Conference, a University Booth will be organised for EDA[
] software and hardware demonstrations.
A prize will be awarded for the best PhD student University Demo.
Universities, research institutes and government funded project consortia interested in demonstrating their hardware and software projects are invited to fill out and return the application form.
All demonstrations will take place on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 of October 2011 within a dedicated time slot.
The Conference, and the Exhibition including the University Booth, will be held in CICA, in the centre of Sophia Antipolis Technological Park.
This final paper will be included in the USB key, published and distributed to all conference participants
